This prestigious award celebrates excellence in Ayurvedic research and innovation. Open to postgraduate and RAV scholars across India, the competition aims to identify and honor the brightest minds in Ayurvedic ophthalmology.

Competition Structure
  • 8-Minute Video Presentations: Participants submit concise videos showcasing research, theoretical or clinical insights related to Ayurvedic Netra Chikitsa .
  • Participants must submit an abstract of their submission in Microsoft Word format. (maximum 250 words) summarizing the objectives, methods, and findings along with the pre-recorded video. This will be used as a preliminary evaluation criterion.
  • Online Zonal Competitions: Shortlisted participants compete live at zonal levels.
  • Full Paper Submission: Participants selected for Phase 2 are required to submit a full paper (maximum 2,500 words) detailing their research, structured with Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

After the initial two stages of screening, a group of participants will be selected for the following specialized categories:

  • Paper Presentations
  • Poster Presentations
  • Sasthra Jyoti Puraskaram

Participants selected for each category will be notified separately and provided with detailed instructions regarding their respective tracks.

Finalists for Sasthra Jyoti Puraskaram undergo a multi-level evaluation process at Sreedhareeyam, including:

  • Samhitha Parichaya: Familiarity with Ayurvedic classical texts.
  • Vyakhyana Samarthya: Interpretation skills.
  • Karma Kausala: Practical skills in procedures like Kriyakarma.
  • Roga Nirnaya: Diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Loka Parichaya: General knowledge.
  • Oral Presentation: Articulation of research findings.
Call for Video Presentations and abstract
  • Duration : 8 minutes.
  • The focus of the event is Netra Chikitsa.

  • The content should be well-structured, scientifically accurate, and supported by references from classical texts or contemporary studies.

  • Video Quality : Resolution should be at least 720p, with clear audio. Ensure minimal background noise and stable camera footage to maintain professionalism.
  • Presentation Structure : The video should include the following sections
    • Introduction: Brief introduction of the presenter, affiliation, and an overview of the topic.
    • Objective: Clearly state the objective of the research or insight
    • Methodology: For research submissions, describe the methods used concisely. For clinical insights, outline the treatment procedures.
    • Results/Findings: Summarize key results, observations, or outcomes.
    • Discussion: Discuss the relevance of the findings or insights, highlighting their contribution to the management of Abhishyanda.
    • Conclusion: Summarize key takeaways and potential future directions.

  • Format: Times New Roman, 12 pt, line spacing 1.5.
